Bedridden for years, she was believed dead—until the impossible happened.
A 65-year-old woman in Thailand who had been bedridden for the past two years was declared dead after appearing to stop breathing. Following local tradition, her body was transported to a Buddhist temple and placed inside a coffin as preparations for funeral rites began.
Moments later, temple staff heard knocking sounds coming from inside the coffin. Shocked and alarmed, they opened it and discovered the woman was still alive. Emergency responders were immediately called, and she was rushed to a hospital.
Medical experts later explained that the woman may have experienced a rare condition that mimics death, with extremely shallow breathing and weak vital signs. Similar cases have been documented worldwide, but they remain exceptionally uncommon—making this incident both terrifying and extraordinary.
